Casey and Aaron's wedding was beautiful last night. The rain held off and was just a nice background patter on the tin roof of the cabana during the reception.
Loved the flowers they added to the arches on the way to the wedding area, we have a few flowers of our own blooming. Thought the porch looked really inviting Saturday evening.

We burned pastures last week and even with a little cooler weather they are really starting to grow back. Picked a wonderful quiet evening and friends came and helped and took pictures. These are my pics, I will try to add John Gladman's and Grant Fitch's pictures soon.
Spring is happening so quickly this year. We are getting the flower beds mulched and planted garden this week. From radishes and lettuce to basil and zinnias. So we should hit the right weather for something. Got a nice rain and it brought out the Morel mushrooms. My cousin Vic started heirloom tomatoes for me and will bring them out to plant soon. Its still early, I have to remind myself.

How cute are our baby chicks! We are getting about 2 dozen eggs a day from last springs chicks, and we just added 50 chicks a few weeks ago, so by fall we will really be getting dozens of eggs a day. Into recycling? Save your egg cartons for us and bring them when you visit, we'll send you home with a dozen fresh range eggs. The chickens love it when we have left over pasta and fruit. We compost anything they don't eat. And we recycle glass, paper including old magazines and cardboard, aluminum and plastic. We have cut back our input to landfills by over half in just a few years by recycling and the compost is great for the gardens.
Dakota was happy to pick up her baby chicks at Lawrence Feed and Farm. Roger ordered 25 yellow chickens and 25 red for us. They are so much bigger then they were in these pictures already!
